All Cedar County Campgrounds will reopen beginning May
Camping will be available to anyone who is able and
willing to meet the following requirements:
Only self-contained camper units, no tents, or campers
without on board restroom facilities are allowed at this
All modern restrooms, pit
toilets, shower buildings and playgrounds remain CLOSED
- Visitors will not be allowed in the campgrounds, only
those occupying the campsites
- Campfires at the individual campsites will be limited
to campers occupying those campsites
- Campsite occupancy must at all times be less than ten
(10) people per campsite
- Campers are expected to maintain proper social
distancing of 6 feet at all times
- Campers must be able to PROVIDE THEIR OWN WATER as
sites will not have access
- Communal picnic tables and grills are open for use at
your own risk

County Conservation is preparing to provide additional
accommodation to campers as the State of Iowa removes
the remaining restrictions that have been put in place.
In limited situations some Cedar County Conservations
services may not be ready when the State of Iowa allows
them to resume.

CEDAR COUNTY TREASURER
vehicle registration is
expired or expiring you do not need to renew during this
emergency, which currently extends to May 27 in
Iowa. However, you can renew your vehicle registration
online or by mail. If you purchased a vehicle, you will
not need to obtain the title and registration within 30
days. If you purchased your vehicle from a dealer, you
will not be required to obtain license plates within 45
days. This will remain in effect until the declared
disaster is over. Additionally, the March 31
property tax deadline has
been extended through May 27, 2020. You may pay
your property taxes through this date with no penalty.

Out of an abundance of caution
and in response to COVID-19 and public health concerns,
all Cedar County offices
listed below are closed to the public, except for the
Clerk of Court.
Employees will still be reporting to work, but public
contact is being limited to mitigate the spread of the
COVID-19 virus. It is our intent to continue essential
public services. If you have questions, you may contact
the corresponding offices during regular working hours.
Please note that this list is subject to change at any

NOTE: The Treasurerís Office
has a drop box for driver's license and property taxes.
This is located directly inside the south east entrance
door, due to weather. The
drop box is available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
